Ginza Hachigou selected as one of Tabelog’s Top 100 Ramen Restaurants in Tokyo 2024 for the sixth consecutive year

2024.12.06

The “Tabelog Ramen Top 100 Tokyo 2024” awards, which select popular restaurants once a year from those listed on the restaurant portal site “Tabelog” operated by Kakaku.com, were announced, and Ginza Hachigo (Chuo-ku, Tokyo) was selected. This is the sixth time in a row that the restaurant has been selected.

The owner of Ginza Hachigou, Yasushi Matsumura, is a master chef who has perfected the way of French cuisine for 36 years, including serving as executive chef at the ANA Hotel Kyoto (now the ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Kyoto). With the desire to “make it easy for anyone to enjoy delicious food without pretense,” he decided to recreate a “full course in a bowl” and jumped into the world of ramen. In March 2015, Matsumura opened his first store, “Chukasoba Katsumoto,” in Suidobashi, Tokyo. In February 2016, he opened “Tsukesoba Kanda Katsumoto” in Jimbocho, Tokyo. In December 2018, Matsumura poured all of his skills, sensibilities, and knowledge into the Chinese noodle shop “Ginza Hachigou,” which opened in Ginza, Tokyo. Inspired by French cuisine, the golden soup does not use any sauce and instead brings out the full flavor of ingredients such as prosciutto, while the thin noodles specially made by the long-established restaurant Asakusa Kaikaro combine to create a delicious bowl of ramen.
